Designed to replicate the classic “rope over a branch with a stick to sit on” that was a rite of passage in our youth, but without the broken bottom when the stick snaps!
This chunky tree oak tree swing will provide years of laughs from young and old.
Hanging is a five minute job, simply wrap the rope over a branch twice and clip in the steel adjuster.  There’s no knots to tie, the seat and adjuster are permanently spliced to the rope for safety.
The synthetic hemp rope gives a traditional appearance whilst being kind to hands and being durable enough to stay outdoors all year (natural rope decays quite rapidly outdoors and will inevitably break with exposure to rain and sun. For this reason, only synthetic fibres are used in the making of all Chorley Oak swings)
The oak seat is finished in traditional Tung oil
**HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ROPE LENGTH:** 
For branches up to approx. 15cm diameter the easiest way to choose your rope length is to measure from the floor to the branch and add 1 metre.
The rope needs to be looped twice over the branch to prevent slipping, so this measurement, when the swing seat is set around half a meter from the ground, will provide 1.5 metres of rope to get around the branch twice and clip on to itself.
*If your branch is very thick, please go up a suitable amount to accommodate the diameter of the limb.
