NEW for 2024! Chorley oak are pleased to introduce our new range of solid oak rope swings to suit every budget.
This Oak swing with a 60cm wide untreated oak seat is the entry level model at a bargain price for a quality oak swing that will last for generations.
Oak requires no treatment to be durable outdoors and as such this swing can be left bare if you wish, but be aware it will very soon change to a silvery grey appearance with exposure to the elements. The seat has been sanded and brushed to a lustrous smooth finish and is ready to be oiled/varnished/stained staright away if you wish to apply a finish.
Measuring approximately 60cm wide, 20cm deep, 5cm thick. A perfect size for children of all ages. If you require a larger swing suitable for adults too, please see our other swings.

Suspended on traditionally hand-spliced 16mm synthetic hemp rope, this has the appearance of natural fibre whilst being kinder to hands and more durable and is the same rope used in our best-selling premium swings.
ynthetic hemp rope also has the advantage over natural rope that it is safe to be left out in all weather and seasons without any detriment to its strength. The swing is supplied with heavy duty steel adjusters already fitted, again with a traditional splice. 
 
Hanging the swing is a simple case of looping the rope over a suitable branch (or existing wooden swing frame) and clipping the adjuster closed (full instructions provided).
**HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR LENGTH:** Measure the distance between your tree limb or beam that the swing will be hung on and choose the closest, longer option. The rope will be supplied with 50cm additional length to loop around the branch. For example if you need 220cm from branch to swing seat, order the 250cm length, you will receive a swing with 300cm of rope, giving plenty to wrap over the branch and adjust to level. The height can then be adjusted and levelled easily and quickly.
NOTE: If you have a large diameter branch, please add additional length to ensure you have enough to get around it!
